CIFUNSA has an installed capacity of 300,000 tons annually in blocks and heads. The production of this company is distributed in 4 molding lines.Through simultaneous engineering, every step in the new product development process take place, from concept, prototype development, and mass production, all backed up by state of the art foundry technology.
MELTING
CIFUNSA has 1 cupola furnace and 5 induction furnaces with a total melting capacity of 114 tons per hour.
In addition, there are 4 induction furnaces for the storage and heat preservation of the liquid iron.
CORE PRODUCTION
CIFUNSA manufactures cores using the hot-box and cold-box processes.
To reduce casting dimensional variations, CIFUNSA has 7 key-core lines under operation to produce sand-core packages for engine blocks. Five of them manufacture cores for automotive castings and two for diesel.
MOLDING
CIFUNSA has 4 molding lines with an overall capacity of more than 660 molds per hour.
FINISHING
CIFUNSA has a modern equipment for blasting, cleaning, grinding, heat treatment, painting, and reference points machining.
